Crusader has been looking better and better every day. The judges agreed that this is a very nice looking fellow, awarding him junior champion buck titles in two out of three rings at three months of age. The judges especially liked his front end assembly, his excellent feet and legs, and his wonderful dairy character. Crusader's dam (pictured above) finished her AGS and ADGA titles this spring and has won at least five Best of Breed and many Best Udder awards. If Crusader passes udders on to his daughters like his dam's capacious and well attached udder, I will be thrilled. If I could change sometime about Crusader, I would give him a wider escutcheon and rear leg set but it certainly isn't bad. I co-own Crusader with Tembi (Sugar Pine herd) so he will be a busy fellow this breeding season. Thank you Gary and Sandra for allowing this handsome buck to come to Oregon to be part of our herd.

I am happy to introduce Lucky, who arrived here in early November.  Wow!  I am not disappointed!  I think Lucky is a buck who will have a huge positive impact on my herd.  This buck is a little fellow but so very stylish and correct.  Under his winter coat, you can feel that he excels in dairy character.  Look at his uphill stance and very nice set of legs!  If his daughters have eschutcheons like their sire and fill it with a beautiful udder, I will be thrilled beyond words.  In addition, Lucky has plenty of body capacity for his small frame.  If I could change a couple of minor things about him, I would give him tighter toes and slightly more rear leg angulation.  I call him "Lucky Buck" and he will be a busy boy with lots of dates with gorgeous does.

Here are a bunch of quotes of what Lucky's breeder, Ellen, wrote to me about him before I purchased this handsome chamoisee buck.
"Kitty has been the most influential doe our herd has ever had. If you look at pedigrees, you'll find very few animals here that are not related to her some how. Either through a daughter, son or grandson. And yes, her line is a tremendous milking line. These does have beautiful mammary systems that milk out to absolutely nothing! They have wonderful teat size, and milk easily."

"The two bucks that have had the greatest influence on our herd are; ARMCH Twin Creeks LS Luck of the Draw +*S and ARMCH Caesar's Villa CBS Cowpoke ++*S, ++B. Lucky's Image is a combination of all three of these animals being a Kitty son, grandson to Luck of the Draw and a Cowpoke daughter."

"Our Derringer daughters have been unbeatable in our area in the Get of Sire class. And then we were privaledged to place 2nd at the ADGA National Show this year. Derringer stamps his daughters with a particular "look", and although they may all be of differing heights, they all have the same general appearance. This year's appraiser, after looking at all three daughters, made the comment that Derringer was an "udder buck", because each of them had exactly the same lovely mammary system. :o) And in fact, all three of my girls earned their stars this year with ADGA's DHIR program. They are still ongoing in their lactations, but each are now star milkers...that will give Derringer his +B designation."

After talking to Lucky's breeder and seeing all the amazing udders in his pedigree, who could resist.  I like that "ease of milking" and large teats seem to be the norm of this bloodline.  In addition to the excellent mammary systems, I am also excited about the correct and stylish conformation that Lucky seems to pass on.  Not only is Lucky very handsome, he has a wonderful and gentle personality.  Thank you, Gary, for trusting us with your favorite goat!

This "puppy dog cute" young buck has a very impressive pedigree with some of Rosasharn's top bloodlines.  Not only is his pedigree filled with champions, many of the does are excellent milk producers.  Under his abundant hair coat, Monet is angular, sharp, and dairy.  As you can see, he is very long and level bodied and is plenty wide and deep as well.  I really admire his wide and level rump and very correct rear leg angulation.  Monet's first kids have arrived and they have all been very dairy with excellent general appearance.  I can't wait to see what this buck produces for mammary systems!  Thank you, Falon, for selling Monet to Camanna.

Alethia CRC Cooper - 2010

Born: 4/19/09      Registered: ADGA, AGS, NDGA      blue eyes

I was looking for a small, correct, blue eyed buck with excellent mammary systems in his pedigree and along came this golden fellow. Cooper is another small buck and is quite stylish with good general appearance. He produced some impressive kids at his previous home that were long bodied, angular, and correct in their conformation. Cooper's dam, Stella, did awesome in the show ring in 2011 and quickly became a finished ADGA champion and received an EXCELLENT linear appraisal score.  Stella has a wonderful mammary system and I can only hope that it is passed on to Cooper's daughters.  My only concern with Cooper is that he is quite narrow bodied compared to what I am used to seeing. For the most part, Cooper will be bred to some of my widest does. He is more than happy to be assigned to that role.
