Camanna's Petite Paradise is blessed to be welcoming these precious new babies into the world.  The birth of new kids is our favorite part of goat keeping and we want to share it with you.  Some of these kids will stay in our herd but others that are not yet spoken for will be pictured on the sales page.  Some of the buck kids will be available soon as pet wethers.  After visiting our new babies below, please take a peek at the upcoming births on our breeding schedule.

Newborn kids are very difficult to photograph well because they wiggle around or scrunch down.  Please forgive the sometimes awkward poses.

 For the first time in 9 years, we had a doe require a c-section.  The doe kid, who was trying to come out bent, "backbone first", didn't survive.  There was no way to reposition her to get either kid out, thus the need for surgery.  Naomi and her buck kid are doing great now.  Thank you OSU senior vet students and Dr. V for your great work with Naomi and the love you poured out on her little fellow.

Note: Being quintuplets and small, some of this set of kids were especially difficult to photograph. In real life, they are all level over their toplines and don't have scrunched necks!  They are actually very correct and stylish. Their mother, Swirl, was also a quintuplet, which is interesting. If I find any extra time, I hope to take better photos.
