CCF Miracle Max

Meet Max!

Born in the fall of 2025, Max is a handsome young Valais Blacknose ram with a beautiful combination of fleece, conformation, and breeding behind him. We are so excited to have him in our flock and look forward to watching him mature!

His fleece is one of his standout features, with gorgeous, loose, open locks and an abundance of leg wool that gives him that wonderfully woolly Valais look. He also has a nice wide chest and excellent overall conformation. A broad chest and full wool coverage on the legs are both valued breed characteristics, and these are qualities we especially appreciate in Max.

Max’s sire is Highland Hamilton, from the Highland breeding of Raymond Irvine and Jenni McAllister. Their flock has produced numerous Maximum Points sheep and achieved major success in the United Kingdom’s Valais show ring, including Supreme Champion at Blacknose Beauties in 2018. It is exciting to have that breeding represented in Max’s pedigree.

His dam is CCF Lysandra, a daughter of Westmorland Frankie. Frankie earned Reserve Male Champion at Blacknose Beauties in 2018 and was also awarded Maximum Points by the Swiss judges at that event. Those documented accomplishments make him a particularly interesting part of Max’s ancestry. The Westmorland flock also credits Frankie with siring multiple Maximum Points sheep and championship winners, adding to our enthusiasm for this maternal bloodline.

Max does have a small extra spot on one hind leg and another beneath his tail, which we want to acknowledge openly. His beautiful fleece, abundant leg wool, wide chest, and overall conformation are the qualities that especially draw us to him.

There is always something exciting about watching a promising young ram develop, and Max gives us plenty to look forward to. We’re eager to see how he matures and hopeful that his future lambs will carry forward some of the qualities we already admire in him. For now, we are simply delighted to have this handsome fellow here!
